At the beginning of the meeting, Hu Yuankun introduced that the "One Hundred Towns and Ten Thousand Households" survey, which began in 2011, has become an in-depth brand activity of the Ministry of Agriculture. There are 27 surveys this year. The group carried out a one-month visit to villages in various places. Huidong was the first stop of the Guangdong group's investigation.

Huidong, the main potato producing area in Guangdong Province, has "rice-rice-potato" as its unique planting method. However, research shows that the excessive use of fertilizers during potato planting in this region has become an urgent problem for the development of the industry. "The cost of fertilizer accounts for 35%-40% of the total planting cost." At the beginning of the on-site training session, Zhang Yucan bluntly stated that the safe use of fertilizers is the key to the healthy development of Huidong potatoes in the future. And in his opinion, using formula fertilizer is the fundamental way to solve the problem.

In the agricultural material market where fake goods emerge in endlessly, how to distinguish the authenticity of fertilizer is undoubtedly a topic of particular interest to farmers. To this end, Zhang Yucan summed up the "three observations and three experiences" from long-term practice. The third inspection is to look at the packaging, shape, color, and smell; the third inspection is to check the authenticity by adding water to dissolve, burning, and testing.

"What formula is suitable for my land?" Regarding farmers' questions, Zhang Yucan said that although many farmers know that using formula fertilizers can improve crop resistance and reduce pesticide consumption, they still don't know which formula it is. Therefore, Zhang Yucan suggested that farmers can participate in various trainings organized by the agricultural department, field demonstration cards, information disclosure columns, fertilization suggestion cards, or learn from the town agricultural office, agricultural technology station and county agricultural technology extension center, and even obtain soil. Take the samples to the County Agricultural Technology Center for testing.

Subsequently, Zhang Yucan took rice and potato as examples to explain the whole solution of soil testing and formula fertilization in detail. The farmers who participated in the meeting listened very carefully. Liu Wenqu, deputy director of Huidong County Agricultural Technology Extension Center and senior agronomist, shared the knowledge of the correct use of pesticides on rice with the topic of "Integrated Control of Crop Pests and Diseases".

After the on-site meeting, each farmer received a 30 yuan agricultural technology subsidy, as well as the original ecological trial formula fertilizer donated by Batian Ecological Engineering Co., Ltd. Some farmers said that the experts are like teaching fertilizer knowledge by hand. Fertilization Suggestions for Rice Growth Period

Base fertilizer: The application of nitrogen fertilizer accounts for about 30%-40% of the total use, and the phosphate fertilizer is applied all at once;

Green fertilizer (3-5 days after transplanting seedlings or 5 days after throwing seedlings): use 40% of the total nitrogen fertilizer and 50% of the annual potassium fertilizer usage;

Fertilizer for young ear differentiation (approximately 1 month after planting, after the open-sun field turns to red irrigation): apply 20%-30% nitrogen fertilizer, and the remaining 50% potassium fertilizer.
